Ohio's Own Piccadilly Parlour Victorian Tea Room.....
July 13th is my birthday and this year I wanted to try something new to celebrate my birthday.
I feel like most people, myself included, spend their time dreaming of far off places to spend their special days. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE traveling and try to do it often. Yet, I realized that there are true treasures in my own backyard, so I have been trying to locate them and visit.
After searching high and low for a special activity or place to celebrate, a few spots seemed especially interesting.
My mom and I chose Piccadilly Parlour Victorian Tea Room which turned out to be a wonderful place to celebrate. Nestled in a quiet, small town lies Piccadilly Parlour and its wonderful charm. The food, staff, and other guests created a calm and enjoyable atmosphere. Tea may be the main attraction, but the food left quite the impression on my taste buds!

Mom and I ordered "Tea for Two" which offered this delicious platter of sandwiches, quiche, small desserts and two bowls of soup. We both ordered tomato soup and enjoyed every spoonful. The meal also included two pots of tea; we chose Victorian Rose (crowd pleaser) and Vanilla tea (also loved by the server). Both teas were delightful and the entire meal was very filling. During our time there, I felt as if I were in the midst of a true afternoon tea.
Who can pass up cheesecake on their birthday? I decided to try the summer berry cheesecake and it did not disappoint! Yummy!
After tea, we walked around the parlour to explore the details of the room.
There is an area for little girls to play dress up which is ideal for a tea party. I was a little jealous of 3 little girls who enjoyed playing and dancing around in their pretty ensembles. A group of women played cards behind us and they meet often to do so. How cute!

I can't help but think of Mrs. Potts when I see any teapot. Beauty and the Beast anyone?
I loved the touch of this suit of armor for decoration.

The outdoor seating is adorable and perfect for a beautiful summer day!
All photos were taken by me. Hope you enjoyed my trip to the Piccadilly Parlour! I highly suggest a visit here or other tea rooms in your area.
