It has been a while guys! I am so sorry for the absence of posts. Hope you all are well! First off, I want to say that I am praying for everyone impacted by the events today in San Bernardino. I also continue to pray for the people affected by the horrible events all around the world.
So... We all know what time of year it is for college students. We are approaching final projects and final exams. Let's just say the stress is building.
I sit here writing this while battling between homework and watching Christmas specials. Guys, it is December 2nd!
Though Christmas Break is right around the corner, I have a few "project hurdles" to jump through or over. We all chuckle at the hilarious posts on social media that depict the reality of looming final exams. They are fun to read because they take your mind off of your actual stress and allow you to realize that you are not alone. Plus, the posts happen to be EXTREMELY accurate.
I hope this short post reminds you that you are not alone. Whether you are in school or not, this time of year can be stressful. Life is stressful. So, remember that you are not alone because God is right there with you and has gone before you. Also, know that everyone goes through these times. Sometimes I forget that I am not the only one who goes through difficult situations in life. I think sometimes I fall into a trap of thinking negatively about a situation rather than trusting God through it all. This semester has definitely helped me to grow in that department and for that I am thankful for the "rain" throughout this semester.
Anyway, if you are in college, I pray that you have a wonderful end to your semester. Study. Highlight those notes. Use that X-acto knife (Any Design Students?) Try to rest as much as possible. Listen to Christmas music. Hug Lots. Pray. Repeat.
11 days until exam week.
A few words that I have found encouraging:
1 Chronicles 16:11 - Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him.
Each week I try to write something encouraging in my planner. This week I chose this quote that I saw on Facebook..
Quote of the Week: "Only He Who Can Say, "THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH OF MY LIFE" can say, "OF WHOM SHALL I BE AFRAID?" - Alexander MacLaren
